Why guests choose Hadana

Three things tip the decision for most guests, and each is something you can check before you book.

Courtyard swimming pool framed by palm trees and tiers of balconies at a Hoi An boutique resort

A pool courtyard at the centre

The single outdoor pool sits in a courtyard planted with palms, with a pool bar and loungers. Senior Deluxe rooms on the second and third floors look straight down on it.

Rice fields on one side

Executive rooms (36 m²) and the Hadana Suite Field View face rice paddies rather than the town. It is the greenest outlook in the building and the main reason to pay for the step up.

Free bikes for town and beach

Bicycles are free while they last. Hoi An Central Market is about 1 km away and An Bang Beach roughly 20 minutes of flat riding.

Which room to book at Hadana

For most couples, an Executive room is the one to book: 36 m², a balcony over the rice fields and a king bed or twins. Deluxe and Senior Deluxe rooms are 32 m² and face the town or the pool; suites add a living area, and two family layouts sleep four.

Is Hadana right for you?

No hotel suits everyone. This is who tends to love it, and who would be happier somewhere else.

  • You like exploring by bike: the bicycles are free while they last.
  • You are a family of four looking for a bunk-bed suite or connecting rooms.
  • You want a proper spa on site, with sauna, steam room and hot tub.

Hadana FAQ: what guests ask before booking

The practical questions that decide a booking — distances measured, policies read, nothing guessed. Facts checked October 2026.

Location & getting there

Is Hadana Boutique Resort in Hoi An or Da Nang?

It is in Hoi An, at 538 Cua Dai Road, about 1.6 km east of the old town. The confusion comes from an administrative change: in July 2025 the former Quang Nam province merged into Da Nang City, so booking sites now file Hoi An addresses under Da Nang. Nothing moved — the resort is still a 15–20 minute walk from the old town and 31 km from Da Nang airport.

Is Hadana the same hotel as Hadana Boutique Hotel Da Nang?

No. Hadana Boutique Hotel Da Nang is a separate property in Son Tra, near My Khe Beach in Da Nang, roughly 45 minutes to an hour by car from Hoi An. This guide covers only Hadana Boutique Resort Hoi An on Cua Dai Road, which earlier traded as Belle Maison Hadana Hoi An Resort & Spa. Check the address on the booking page before you pay.

How far is Hadana from Hoi An Ancient Town, and can you walk it?

Yes, it is walkable: Hoi An Central Market is about 1.1 km (14 minutes on foot) from Hadana and the Japanese Covered Bridge about 1.6 km (21 minutes), measured along the road. The route follows Cua Dai Road west, a busy main road, so expect motorbikes alongside you. Many guests walk in for the evening and take a Grab back.

How do I get from Da Nang Airport to Hadana, and what does it cost?

Hadana is 31 km from Da Nang International Airport: about 30 minutes in light traffic and 45–50 minutes at busy times. The resort’s own car is listed at VND 450,000 per vehicle one way, booked at least 48 hours ahead. A Grab car usually costs VND 250,000–350,000 and a metered taxi VND 300,000–400,000 (October 2026 figures from Hoi An transport guides).

Does Hadana run a shuttle to the old town or the beach?

There is no scheduled shuttle we can confirm. Some booking sites list a free shuttle, but we found no timetable, and recent guests describe walking 15–20 minutes into town or using the free bicycles. For An Bang Beach, guests cycle about 5 km on village lanes or take a Grab. If a shuttle matters to you, ask the hotel to confirm it in writing before you book.

Is it easy to get a Grab from Hadana at night?

Most of the time, yes: Grab cars and motorbikes work across Hoi An, and Cua Dai Road is a main route, so pick-ups at the gate are routine. Waits get longer late at night and after lantern nights, when demand in the old town spikes. If the app is slow, the front desk can call a metered taxi for you.

Rooms & views

Which rooms at Hadana look over the rice fields?

The Executive rooms (36 m²) and the Hadana Suite Field View are the rice-field rooms; both have balconies facing the paddies behind the resort. Deluxe rooms face the town side and Senior Deluxe rooms look over the pool courtyard. Booking sites rename rooms, so match by size and view rather than by name when you compare.

Which Hadana room is best for a family of four?

For two adults and two young children, the Family Suite with Bunk Beds (54 m²) is the simplest choice: one king bed plus a bunk, for up to four guests. If your children are older or you want two bathrooms, the Family Connecting Room joins two Executive rooms (72 m² in total) with a king bed and two twins. Ask the hotel to confirm the connecting door in writing.

Do all rooms at Hadana have a balcony and a bathtub?

Every room and suite at Hadana has a private balcony. Bathtubs are not universal: listings describe the bathrooms as “bathtub or shower” depending on the room, and some guests report a shower over the bath or an open shower. If a bathtub matters to you, ask the hotel to note it on your booking — it is on request, not guaranteed.

Are some rooms at Hadana noisier than others?

A little. Town-facing rooms sit closer to the traffic on Cua Dai Road, pool-view rooms hear the pool bar in the afternoon, and several guests mention sound from the room above. For the calmest stay, ask for an Executive room on an upper floor facing the rice fields. It is a request rather than a guarantee, so earplugs are worth packing.

What is the difference between the Suite and the Hadana Suite Field View?

Both are one-bedroom suites at Hadana with a separate living area and a king bed. The Suite is about 52 m² and looks over the pool or the town; the Hadana Suite Field View is slightly larger, about 56 m², and faces the rice fields. Some suite rates include a daily massage for two at the spa, so read the rate description before you choose.

Check-in & policies

What are the check-in and check-out times at Hadana?

Check-in at Hadana starts at 2 pm and check-out is at 12 noon on most listings, though one source gives 11 am, so confirm when you book. Late check-out is on request and charged: one listing quotes half the room rate until 6 pm and the full rate after that. The guest checking in must be at least 18.

Does Hadana take a deposit at check-in?

Yes. Expect to show photo ID and leave a card hold or cash deposit for extras such as the minibar or spa. Hadana does not publish the amount, so ask when you book if you want to plan for it. A card hold is released after check-out, but your bank decides how quickly the money shows again.

Can I leave luggage at Hadana after check-out?

Ask at the front desk on your last morning: holding bags for guests with a late flight is normal practice in Hoi An, but Hadana does not publish a rule on it. If you need a room to shower before a night flight, a late check-out, which is on request and charged, is the reliable option.

Are pets allowed at Hadana?

No. Hadana’s current listings state that pets are not allowed, and that includes service animals, so contact the hotel before booking if you travel with an assistance animal. A few old listings from the property’s earlier years say pets are welcome; those pages are out of date.

Why does the front desk ask for my passport?

Vietnamese law requires hotels to register every foreign guest’s stay with the local police, so the front desk copies your passport and visa or entry stamp at check-in. It is a routine registration, not a deposit, and it takes a few minutes. Ask for the passport back once it has been copied.

Food & breakfast

Is breakfast included at Hadana?

It depends on the rate: Hadana sells rates with and without breakfast. If yours excludes it, breakfast on the day is listed at about VND 300,000 per adult and VND 200,000 per child, though one booking site shows lower figures, so check at the desk. Compare the two rate lines side by side before you choose the cheaper one.

What time is breakfast at Hadana, and what is served?

Breakfast at Hadana is a buffet from 6:30 to 10:00 am, with Vietnamese dishes alongside a Western spread, and guests regularly mention its variety. If you leave early for My Son or the airport, ask the evening before whether a packed breakfast can be prepared; it is on request.

Can you have dinner at Hadana?

Yes. RICE Restaurant serves Hoi An and Vietnamese dishes plus Asian and Western plates, with a happy hour and occasional buffet dinners, and there are separate pool and lobby bars. Many Hadana guests still eat in the old town, a 15–20 minute walk away, where cao lau noodles and white rose dumplings are the local specialities.

Are there vegetarian options at Hadana?

Hadana does not publish a vegetarian or vegan menu, so treat it as on request: tell the hotel when you book and again at check-in. Vietnamese cooking has plenty of vegetable dishes to work with, and Hoi An’s old town, a 15–20 minute walk away, has dedicated vegetarian restaurants.

Pool, spa & beach

How big is the pool at Hadana, and when is it busy?

Hadana has one outdoor pool in its central courtyard, with a pool bar, loungers and umbrellas; the size is not published. Guests describe it as small for a 95-room resort and busiest in the afternoon, and the buildings around it limit direct sun. Swim in the morning if you want space, and check the opening hours posted at the pool before planning an evening dip.

Does Hadana have a private beach?

No. Hadana is an inland resort, and beaches in Vietnam are public. The nearest sand is An Bang Beach, 6.4 km away, and Cua Dai Beach is about 4.9 km straight down Cua Dai Road. Guests report that the resort can arrange loungers and towels at a partner beach bar in An Bang, so ask at the front desk the day before.

How do I get from Hadana to An Bang Beach?

Cycle or take a Grab. On Hadana’s free bicycles it is about 4.7 km of flat village lanes, roughly 20 minutes; by car the road route is 6.4 km and a Grab takes 12–15 minutes. In the hot months go before 10 am or after 3 pm to avoid the strongest sun, and leave the bike at a beach café rather than on the sand.

What does the Maison Spa at Hadana offer?

Maison Spa has five or six treatment rooms (listings differ), couples’ rooms, a sauna, a steam room and a hot tub. Guests often book a massage after a day of cycling, and recent reviews mention two-for-one massage promotions. Book a day ahead for evening slots and ask whether sauna and steam use is included with your treatment.

Is there a gym at Hadana?

Yes, Hadana has a small fitness room; one listing describes it as free and open 24 hours, which is worth confirming at check-in. For something outdoors, the flat roads around Hoi An make the free bicycles a decent workout, and An Bang Beach is good for an early run on the sand.

Families & children

Do children stay free at Hadana?

One child aged 5 or under stays free when sharing the existing beds, according to Hadana’s booking-site policies; older children usually need an extra bed, which is charged. Cots are free on request. A child’s breakfast is charged separately unless your rate includes it, so check the child line when you compare rates.

Is there a kids club or babysitting at Hadana?

Hadana lists an indoor play room and kids club plus a babysitting service, but it does not publish ages or opening hours, so ask before you rely on them. Babysitting is usually arranged a day ahead and charged. Children under 12 must be with an adult at the pool and in the gym.

Can I get a cot or an extra bed at Hadana?

Yes, on request. Cots are listed as free, while rollaway beds are charged and only possible in some room types, so add the request to your booking and ask the hotel to confirm it. The bunk-bed Family Suite avoids the need for an extra bed when you travel with two young children.

Is Hadana easy with a pushchair or limited mobility?

Mostly. Hadana has a lift, and listings describe wheelchair-accessible paths to the pool and spa, with some limitations. The roadside walk into the old town is less comfortable with a pushchair, so many families take a Grab for the first trip. If you need an accessible room, ask for one in writing before you book.

Practical

What plugs and voltage do the rooms at Hadana use?

Vietnam runs on 220 V, 50 Hz, and sockets usually take two-pin plugs, both flat (type A) and round (type C). Travellers from the UK and Australia need an adapter, and anyone else should check that chargers say 100–240 V. Hadana does not list USB sockets in its rooms, so pack a multi-port charger.

Can I drink the tap water in Hoi An?

No. Tap water in Hoi An is not considered safe to drink, so use bottled or filtered water. Check whether the bottled water in your room is complimentary or part of the minibar before you open it, because one recent guest was charged for a bottle. Ask the front desk where you can refill a reusable bottle.

Do I need a ticket to visit Hoi An Ancient Town?

Yes, most visitors do. International visitors have paid VND 120,000 since 2023 and Vietnamese visitors VND 80,000; a January 2026 notice frames the two prices as packages, the dearer one adding a museum. One ticket covers up to three days. The walking streets close to motorbikes from about 9 am to 9:30 pm in summer and 9 pm in winter. Keep the ticket with you, as checks happen at the entrances.

Hoi An & when to go

What is the best time of year to stay at Hadana?

February to April is the sweet spot for Hadana: dry, warm days, pleasant evenings for walking into the old town and calm sea at An Bang. May to August is hot but sunny and still mostly dry. September to December is the rainy season, with flood risk peaking in October and November, when crowds are thinner but plans need flexibility.

Does flooding affect stays at Hadana in October and November?

It can. Hoi An floods most years in October and November, and record rain in late October 2025 put the old town’s riverside streets under water. The riverside quarter floods first, but trips into town, to the beach and to the airport can all be disrupted. Choose a refundable rate for these months and check the forecast a week before you travel.

When are the lantern nights in Hoi An?

Hoi An holds its lantern night on the 14th day of every lunar month, when the old town turns down its electric lights and the river fills with candle lanterns. The next dates are 23 October, 22 November and 22 December 2026, and Hoi An hosts its first International Lantern Festival from 3 to 6 December 2026. From Hadana it is a 20-minute walk to the river.
